USMID Arua Road Project

The USMID Arua Road Project is a transformative infrastructure development under the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development (USMID) Program, funded by the World Bank. The project involves consultancy services and supervision of construction works for selected infrastructure subprojects in Cluster I, specifically the Go-Down AC14 Asphalt Concrete Road (1.38 km) with associated ancillary works including solar street lights, implemented within Arua City Council.

Complemented by essential ancillary works, including the installation of solar-powered street lights, the project is designed to enhance urban mobility, improve road safety, and foster economic growth. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, the project integrates modern engineering techniques and strict adherence to environmental, social, and safety standards.

By creating a durable, well-engineered, and well-lit roadway, the USMID Arua Road Project aims to transform the city’s infrastructure, improving accessibility, connectivity, and quality of life for residents, while supporting long-term urban development in Arua City Council.
